History and mission

Engineers On Deck was incorporated in Maryland as a 501(c)(3) in 2017. It developed from the engineering education and outreach efforts at the United States Naval Academy by Professors Angela and Patrick Moran, principals at the USNA STEM Center for Education and Outreach. The two share a strong commitment to increasing awareness of engineering as a field of study and career opportunity. Our mission is to provide engaging workshops in engineering and the applied sciences, especially for under-served and under-represented groups, and provide formal and informal K-12 educators with affordable, hands-on training in a wide range of engineering and applied science disciplines.
